Wollaston Township Recycles! Please make sure that evertying that can be recycled is diverted from our landfill site.

Last summer's electronic waste drop off days were a success. 4.8 metric tonnes of material was diverted over the two days in 2011.
Wollaston will hold free e-waste drop off events at the yard behind the Wollaston Roads Garage (90 Wollaston Lake Rd) on May 26th and August 18th of 2012.
The last drop off day for Household Hazardous Waste has past for 2011. The next date will be in May 12, 2012. The location has not yet been determined. Please check back for updated information.

Thank you to all residents who participated in the Community Composting Program. This is a seasonal program, and in the period from May to September 1.1 metric tonnes of organic waste was kept out of our landfill.
Don't forget to check out "Marty's Mall". This re-use centre is a great way of diverting items that are used but not used up, while raising money for local community improvement projects. There is a also bulletin board at the waste site for residents to post notice of larger items offered "free to a good home".
The waste site is now accepting EMPTY oil and lubricant containers for recycling.
Rechargable batteries and cell phones can now be dropped off for recycling at the Township Office. Every little bit counts!!
